HYDERABAD: Notification for recruitment to nearly 1,16,000 government jobs in various departments will be issued by the end of this December. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting convened by chief secretary S V Prasad with different departments heads at the Secretariat on Monday. This follows the recent announced by chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that 1 lakh government jobs will be created soon.
The chief secretary on Monday held a meeting with top officials of the departments of finance, education, home, SC welfare, BC welfare, revenue, medical and health, agriculture etc. to work out the schedule. He asked the officials to work out detailed month-wise schedule, number of vacancies, notification process etc. in coordination with the AP public service commission, police recruitment board, district selection committee etc. Sources in the government said the month-wise schedule, details of vacancies in different departments at different levels and the selection process will be published shortly.
The chief minister recently launched the ‘Rajiv Yuvakiranalu’ scheme to provide training and generate jobs in different sectors like IT, construction, manufacturing, textiles, service sectors, pharmaceuticals, hospitality and tourism. The Rajiv Education and Employment Mission is working out on a mission mode to provide the required training to the youth in various sectors in coordination with departments like labour, employment, SERP, education, minorities welfare, women and child welfare and also other agencies like the National Academy of Construction, CII, Fapcii, Jawahar Knowledge Centers etc.
