In a bid to increase enrolment in higher education courses in semi-urban and rural areas, the state government has decided to launch the PG courses in government degree colleges from this academic year. Initially, it will be introduced in 22 degree colleges where the dropout rates after grad uation are very high due to lack of adequate PG colleges. The colleges have been identified in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Chittoor, Kurnool, Kadapa, Ananta pur, Guntur, Tanuku and Kakinada.
