JNTU KAKINADA credit requirement for promotion to III Year and IV Year

Number of enquires are coming from the Principals, Students and the parents regarding the credit requirement for promotion to III Year and IV Year. I am by the direction of the Hon?ble Vice Chancellor inform you all that the
following guidelines may be followed in promoting students to III and IV Years.
Promotion from II to? III Year:

A student shall be promoted from II to III Year if he fulfills the academic requirement of 42 credits from the II ? 1 and I Year examinations conducted up to December i.e., by the end of II Year first semester examinations.
or
A student shall be promoted from II to III Year if he fulfills the academic requirement of 56 credits from the II ? 2, II- 1 and I Year examinations conducted up to May/June i.e., by the end of II Year second semester examinations.

Promotion from III to? IV Year:
A student shall be promoted from III to IV Year if? he fulfills the academic requirement of 70 credits from the III ? 1 , II-2, II-1, and I Year examinations conducted up to December i.e., by the end of III Year first semester examinations.
or
A student shall be promoted from III to IV Year if? he fulfills the academic requirement of 84 credits from the III-2, III ? 1 , II-2, II-1, and I Year examinations conducted up to May/June? i.e., by the end of III Year second? semester examinations
