HYDERABAD: Following the declaration of intermediate second year advanced supplementary results by the Board of Intermediate Education two days ago, officials are preparing to announce the final ranks of the EAMCET on July 1.
“We will announce the final ranks of EAMCET-2011 as scheduled on July 1 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTU-H). Supplementary results data has been obtained and the process is on to add 25 percent weightage for intermediate marks to the EAMCET marks,” said Prof D N Reddy, vice-chancellor of JNTU-H and chairman of EAMCET-2011.
Twenty-five per cent intermediate weightage would be calculated for 600 marks taking into account core subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. Marks scored in inter practical exams would also be taken into account.
The marks secured in three subjects of EAMCET would be calculated for 75 per cent and they would be added to 25 per cent equivalent of the marks scored in core subjects. For instance, if a student scores 140 out of 160 in EAMCET, the marks would be obtained by dividing 140 with 160 and multiplying the result with 75 weightage.
