UNIT-I
2. Enlist the.various types of paints used in Buildings and discuss in detail the applications
any two types of paint. (15)
3. Explain in detail the composition of various types of Cast Iron used in buildings and also
discuss the properties and uses of cast Iron in buildings. (15)
4. Explain in detail process of seasoning in timber and also describe the various uses of
timber in buildings. (15).

5. Draw the construction details of any two types Horizontal Damp Proof Course and also
explain the process of laying the D.P.C. (15)
6. Draw the plan, elevation, section and details of Braced ana Battened Door. (15)
7. Draw a section through single story framed building structure showing the various
