RURAL DISPENSARY- A PROTOTYPICAL DESIGN FOR PUNJAB VILLAGES

The Govt. of Punjab propose to set up new Rural Dispensaries for the villages of Punjab, this may be followed for other villages in the region also as a prototypical design.

As an architect, you are required to design the rural dispensary which has to be worked out in the regional cultural context.

The following are the requirements are as follows :

1. Waiting hall (For 30 persons)
2. Examination rooms (2 Nos.) 160 sq. ft. each
3. Dressing room 120 sq. ft.

4. Injection room 100 sq. ft.
5. Counseling room (2 Nos.) 200 sq. ft.
6. Doctors Room (4 Nos.) 100 sq. ft. each

Site :

A leveled site measuring 250°-0” x 80°-0” will be required, combining all the requirements and to infuse community participation. Other requirements like approach road, paved areas, landscaping may be worked out to suit your design.

Drawings required :

Site plan on 1:200 scale showing all block/blocks, landscaping, approach road and circulation.
