INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES :
- Students are required to attempt THREE questions in ALL. Question no. 1 is COMPULSORY. Use appropriate scale. Draw neat drawings/sketches.
- a) Create a pattern using geometrical shapes and design a 3000mm square or circular carpet for a five star hotel lobby. (25 marks)
- b) Using three dimensional forms such as cube, cuboid, cone & cylinder, design a mural of size 3000mmx=2000mm depicting the skyline of any Indian city. Any shape can be repeated. All shapes should be used in the mural design. (25 marks)
- Enlist and explain the various elements of design with appropriate sketches. Also explain the principles of design with sketches. (17.5 marks)

- Explain the need of scale and proportions in architecture. Give at least five examples of various types of buildings to support your answer. Draw neat sketches. (17.5 marks)
- What is the need of anthropometrics in designing and functioning of spaces? Also explain modular and golden section with appropriate sketches. (17.5 marks)
