1. Define Viral Hepatitis. List and compare the development and management of
different types of viral hepatitis.
2. a) Define Schizophrenia and discuss about classification and its sign and
symptoms.

3. Explain Alzheimer?s disease and its development. Add notes on the management
of Alzheirmer?s disease.
4. a) Define Anemia. Discuss briefly the types, etiology, pathophysiology and
clinical manifestation of different types of anemia.
b) Discuss the pharmacotherapy for different types of anemia.

1. Pharmacist?s common therapeutic problems in the treatment of inflammatory
bowel disease patients.

4. Discuss about the new anti-epileptic drugs.

6. A 26 year old man who presents with a prescription for sulfasalazine 500mg four
times a day. He has been referred to the gastroenterologist following a 3- month
history of abdominal pain, diarrhoea and several episodes of rectal bleeding. In-
patient investigation found mild ulcerative colitis extending through most of the
large bowel and most active proximally.
a) What monitoring should be carried out in patients starting sulfasalazine for
UC?

c) Why is sulfasalzine often of limited usefulness in Crohn?s disease?
