2. Enumerate the techniques to minimize the shattering losses in Celery.
3. Discuss the vegetative propagation of cocoa.
4. Comment on ?Arecanut can be raised successfully in northern parts of India?.
5. Discuss the desirable traits for selecting mother palm in Coconut.
6. Explain the high density planting and nutritional requirements of Cashew.

SECTION-C
7. A farmer has large dairy unit at his farm and wishes to recycle dairy waste to grow a
crop. He is planning to raise either turmeric or ginger. Suggest the farmer suitable crop
and describe all agro-techniques to raise that crop successfully under Punjab conditions.
8. Discuss the process of mulching and intercropping in ginger along with the processing
techniques (five main products) of the ginger rhizome.
9. Discuss the planting, training/pruning and the concept of trailing & lowering of vines in
Betelvine.
