Mr. X, 68 year man, presented to the emergency unit with sudden onset of unbearable chest
pain following a heavy work and treated as acute Myocardial Infarction. He is a known
patient with type II diabetes mellitus for last 10 year duration and on metformin and
Gliclazide. He is a known patient with hypertension for last 5 years and on Nifidepine. Apart
from this he doesn't have any other medical or surgical history.
3.1. What are the two (2) investigations need to be done at the initial evaluation
of this patient? (10 Marks)
3.3. List the parameters which should be monitored in the emergency
department to this patient? (10 Marks)
3.4. List the medications should be given in the emergency department for the
Myocardial Infarction? (20 Marks)
