WRITE SHORT ESSAYS ON THE FOLLOWING:

1) Discuss the strategies for prevention of Mother to Child Transmission
of HIV.

2) As the Municipal Health Officer, submit a plan for surveillance of
drinking water in your town.

3) Plan a screening program for Diabetes mellitus in a village with a
population of approximately 5000.

4) Critically appraise a cohort study.

5) Cases of a febrile illness has shown a sudden increase in villages
under your PHC. Discuss how you will investigate and what
measures will you take to control the outbreak?

6) Discuss the current situation of Vector Borne Diseases in India. Write
a note on LLINs.

7) Polio eradication from India has been achieved. Analyse the reasons
for this success. Name the countries where Polio is still existing.

8) Review the RNTCP since its inception.

9) Discuss the composition and role of Institutional Ethics Committee.

10) A study of HIV infection in women entering the Prison system
classified 465 inmates with respect to history of intravenous drug
use (IVDU) (user=136 and non-user=339). 61 of the users and 27
of the non-users were found to be HIV positive.
a) Calculate the prevalence of HIV in each exposure group.

c) Calculate the prevalence ratio and Interpret your findings.
