UNIT-I
Q1. Design and detail out a 6m long counter in a shop dealing in branded watches/wall clocks.
Give key plan, section and all the relevant details for construction for the same.
Q2. Design and detail out a 7m long counter in a shop dealing with computer hardware. Give
key plan, section and all the relevant details for construction for the same. Clearly specify
the finishes for the counter.
UNIT-II
Q3. Discuss different types of materials available for wall paneling and false ceiling (with
sizes) along with thermal and acoustical treatments.
Q4. Design and detail out (all the relevant construction details) wall paneling and false ceiling
to be done in the office of managing director (6m ? 7.5m) of a reputed pharmaceutical
company.
UNIT-III
Q5. i) Draw all the relevant construction details (different types) of tanking of a basement
clearly showing the Damp proofing treatment.
ii) What is expansion joint & why are they required in a building? Draw different plan
shapes of buildings and show the locations of expansion joints and also draw their
construction details according to their position in the building.
Q6. Explain with sketches various pre fabricates (concrete) along with their construction details
to a suitable scale.
