1. a) What are hidden and exposed networks? Give an example where hidden network
problem occur in DSR (Dynamic Source Routing).
b) How proactive routing protocol is different from reactive routing protocols?
2. a) What is TDMA? Explain the different features of TDMA.
b) Explain the differences between PURE and Slotted ALOHA. Determine the
maximum throughput that can be achieved in slotted ALOHA protocols.
3. Will other RF devices interfere with Bluetooth Devices? Will Bluetooth and WLAN
interfere with each other? How frequency hopping is used for security in Bluetooth?
4. a) Describe the advantages, drawbacks, and the various transmission techniques of
infrared LANs.
b) Explain the IEEE 802.11 architecture with a neat figure and discuss its services.
5. a) Define Raging procedure in WiMax and what are the frequencies used by WiMax
networks?
b) Describe MAC layer and Network layer.
6. How do the security issues of WSN different from an adhoc network? Can we use spread
spectrum modulation scheme for WSN?
7. a) Wireless intrusion can be detected but cannot be prevented true/false? What are
denial of Service and MAC spoofing?
b) Explain basics of zigbee technology.
8. Discuss various DoS in wireless communication
