INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :
1. Attempt TWO questions from UNIT-I & ONE question from UNIT-II
2. All questions carry EQUAL marks.

UNIT-I
1. Design and draw the detailed Plan of a Kitchen having size 20?-0?? 30?-0? connected to
the mess of a Boys Hostel showing all its ancillary areas, like washing, pantry, store,
servant's room. Assume the sizes of these areas but it shall be proportionate to the size of
the kitchen. Show the detailed layout of each area with complete specifications.
2. Draw the typical plan and all elevations of a toilet attached to the V.I.P Suite of a guest
house along with a dressing room equipped with modern facilities. Also draw a section to
clarify the scheme.
3. Prepare a working drawing of Question 1 or Question 2, showing all dimensions and
brief specifications.
4. Draw neat sketches of the following :
a. Cupboard Details for 2.4m ? 2.4m size cupboard of bedroom
b. Fire Place
UNIT-II
5. Explain in detail various types of scaffoldings. What are the main points that need to be
kept in mind while designing scaffolding?
6. Explain with the help of sketches :
a. Raking or inclined shores
b. Methods of underpinning
c. Flying or horizontal shores
