    PART – B (5 * 10 = 50 Marks)

    1. (a) State and explain Kirchhoff’s laws.

      (b) Determine the current supplied by each battery in the circuit shown below.

    2. Using Nodal analysis find the current through 5Ω resistor of the following circuit.
    3. (a) State Faraday’s laws of electromagnetic induction.

      (b) Two identical coils with a coefficient of coupling of 0.6 between them, have an equivalent inductance of 80mH when connected in series aiding and 30mH when connected in series opposing. Find the self-inductance of each coil.

    4. An inductive coil draws a current of 2A when connected to 230V, 50Hz supply. If the power consumed by the coil is 60W, determine the resistance and inductance of the coil. Also, find the power factor of the coil.
    5. A series RLC circuit has R=10Ω, L=0.1H and C=100µF. The applied voltage is 200V. Find:
      1. Resonant frequency
      2. Current at resonance
