2. Attempt TWO questions from UNIT-I and THREE questions from UNIT-II.

UNIT-I
1. Discuss the contribution of following architects to ?Renaissance Movement? :
a) Leone Battista Alberti
b) Filippo Brunelleschi
2. What do you understand by the term ?Mannerism? in the history of architecture? Explain
it with suitable example.
3. What are the ideals and the feature of Baroque architecture? Explain this movement with
works of Bernini.
UNIT-II
4. Elaborate the characteristic features of Mughal architecture and any two buildings of
complexes of this period.
5. Describe in detail any two buildings or complex of imperial style of architecture of Delhi.
6. Enlist the provincial style that developed during the phase of Islamic architecture in India
and discuss with sketches the typical character of any one such style.
7. Write notes on the following :
a) Jaisalmer Fort
b) Hawa Mahal
8. Discuss in detail the characteristics of Sikh architecture with the help of two case
examples.
