1. Explain the vocabulary of urban design by taking an example of any city.
2. Discuss with examples the relationship between :
a) Street and Square
b) Scale and Enclosure
3. Enlist various types of urban controls. Discuss their impact on a city?s character by taking
suitable examples from some modern Indian cities.
4. Explain parts of a city by taking a suitable example. Highlight the role of communication
systems, utilities, visual expression, landscape features, urban character and city
extension areas as integral parts of city design.
5. Write concise notes on :
a) Town Planning Acts
b) Changing role of urban public spaces through history
