- What is preanaesthetic medication? Write different drugs which are used for it with rationale for their use.
- Enumerate different prostaglandin preparations. Write their therapeutic uses.

SECTION "C" (12 MARKS):
3) Long answer question (any two out of three): [2 x 6 = 12]
- Enumerate antimalarial drugs. Write the pharmacology of artemisinin derivatives.
- Classify antiepileptic drugs. Write detailed pharmacology of Phenytoin sodium.
- Classify drugs used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus. What are the advantages of new insulin preparations over conventional ones? Write adverse effects of insulin (conventional).
