INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :

  1. Attempt TWO questions in all, selecting at least one from each unit.
  2. Choose appropriate scale for drawing.

UNIT-I

  1. Draw the perspective view of a pentagonal prism, lying on the ground plane on one of its rectangular faces, the axis being inclined at 30° to the picture plane, and a corner of the base touching the picture plane. The station point is 65mm in front of the picture plane, and lies in a central plane which bisects the axis. The horizon is at the level of the top edge of the prism. (25)

  3. Draw the perspective view of a semi-circular arched opening in a wall having the length of 4 m, thickness 0.5 m and height 3.5 m. The opening is 1.5 m wide and the springing points are at a height of 2 m. The wall makes an angle of 45° with the picture plane. Select a suitable position of the spectator. (25)

UNIT-II

  1. Draw the isometric projection of a rectangular box 40 mm × 80 mm (outside dimensions) and height 50 mm. The thickness of the box is 10 mm. A plain lid 40 mm × 80 mm and 10 mm thick is open at 120°. (25)
  2. Draw the Isometric projection of the model of steps, two views of which are shown in Figure 1. (25)
