INTRODUCTION
- Objective: An Act to regulate the employment of labour in certain establishments and to provide for abolition in certain circumstances and for matters connected therewith.

- 20 or more workers employed on any day in the preceding 12 months

Obtaining registration & license

- Apply in form I for registration in triplicate with prescribed fees (Rs.142/- ).
- Apply in form IV for license in triplicate with license & security fees (Rs.370/- per worker in some cases- Refundable) .
- For license form V is given by Principal employer to contractor.

Provisions for temporary registration
- For work of immediate nature Principal Employer/Contractor can apply for temporary registration which is valid up to 15 days only.

- Bills of the contractor of Labour Supply is passed after entry in SAP.
- Payment to the contract labour is disbursed
- Payment to the contract labour is disbursed through representative
- Representative stamps the register & signs on it
