Q.1 (a) Differentiate static and kinematic indeterminacy. Also explain these terms with respect to fixed beam. 07
(b) A cylindrical shell of length 3 m and internal diameter 1m has a thickness of 12 mm. If the shell is subjected to an internal pressure of 1 N/mm², find circumferential & longitudinal stresses, maximum shear stress, and the change in the volume. Take E =200 x 10³ N/mm², µ = 0.27. 07
