- A 72 year old patient of COPD having co-morbidities of Diabetes and Coronary artery disease, had a sudden onset of acute respiratory failure with ABG value of ph:7.29, PC02:60 mmHg, Pa02:56 mmHg, mm1-1003: -20 mmol, Sp02:82% was intubated and with SIMV mode on ventilator and PEEP of 8 cms H2O and Fi02:60% from the following case scenario,
- Identify probable complications
- Interpret the findings and describe the ICU specific management
