1. A eight year old boy was brought to clinic by his mother with complaints of

shifting joint pain and swelling involving knee joint, elbow joint etc. and fever
since three days on enquiry it was found that the child had an attack of sore
throat based on this information
a. What is your probable diagnosis

c. What is the pathogenesis of this disease
d. Enlist the causes of death in this condition (2+4+5+4)


2. A 72 years old male presented with changes in the bowel habit, bleeding per

rectum, loss of weight fatigue and weakness of six months duration. After
endoscopic biopsy on colon, a left sided hemicolectomy was done. Answer the
following:
a. What is the probable diagnosis

Describe the gross and microscopic features of the resected colon
