- A 56 year old man presents to the Emergency Room with altered sensorium. On probing the history, his wife gave history that patient had an alcoholic binge the previous day following which patient had a massive bout of haematemesis and altered sensorium. He is a known case of chronic liver disease for the past few years on irregular medication and follows up. On Examination his Glasgow Coma Scale was 3/15, with Pulse Rate of 120/min, and Blood pressure of 80/S0mmHg and on systemic examination, shifting dullness present and Plantar reflex was extensor response bilaterally.
