Hyderabad, Oct. 8: The state government has decided to conduct the state-level eligibility test (SLET) after a gap of nearly 10 years. The decision follows the latest norms of the University Grants Commission that made the national eligibility test or SLET, a mandatory qualification for appointment as a lecturer.

The state government has decided to entrust the responsibility of conducting the SLET to the Osmania University and has asked the vice-chancellor of OU, Prof. Tirupathi Rao, to submit a report on the modalities of the exam immediately.
