HYDERABAD: Union Minister of HRD, Kapil Sibal responded positively to the demands of the engineering college managements from the State on their 21 demands that include reducing the processing fee by the AICTE and relaxing norms in shifting the colleges.
The assurance came from the Minister during a meeting he had with the college managements, wherein the Union Minister of State for HRD. D. Purandeswari and the AICTE Chairman S.S. Mantha were present. Varaprasad Reddy, representative of the college managements, said that the Minister asked the AICTE Chairman to discuss with the HRD Secretary on Friday and settle the issue.
Mr. Reddy said the Minister in principle agreed to reduce the processing fee.
