HYDERABAD: The ICET-2011 exam, held at 276 centres in the state held no surprises. The examination conducted by Andhra University on Wednesday, followed a pattern similar to that of the previous year. Icet is the qualifying examination for admissions into MBA and MCA colleges in the state.
Candidates said the Communicative English section (50 marks) was tough and time consuming and the analytical and logical reasoning parts had questions similar to the ones that had appeared in previous examinations.
A total of 1.5 lakh students had applied for the examination out of which 1.4 lakh appeared. Rohit Tripathy, from David Memorial College, Tarnaka said questions under coding and decoding, odd man out and series completion sections were easier than last year.
Manoj Sethi, Icet coordinator, TIME coaching centre said the question paper had no ambiguous questions this time. “After the preliminary analysis, no errors were found in the question paper. However, we need to wait for the initial key to come out to find out if there are any errors,” said Sethi.
Icet authorities said that the initial answer key will be released by May 22 and final key by May 27.
