Tuition fee reimbursement: Talks begin

HYDERABAD: The state government will try every trick up its sleeve to neutralise the demand for reimbursement of tuition fee when it holds the third round of talks with the managements of professional and engineering colleges tomorrow.

According to sources, the government has decided to explain the financial situation and offer to go slow on initiating action against colleges which are not meeting the mandatory standards like quality infrastructure and qualified faculty.

The cabinet sub-committee on fee reimbursement and scholarships scheme today held a two-hour-long brainstorming session today with officials over the options available for the government to end the row with the college managements. Ministers B Satyanarayana, A Ramanarayana Reddy, Baswaraj Saraiah, P Satyanarayana and Mohd Ahmedullah participated in the meeting.
