    SBI PO Syllabus

    The banking sector is considered to be a respectful career in India. It has also become a preferable choice of career for many young aspirants. There are various bank exams conducted every year to recruit candidates in the banking domain.

    Similarly, the State Bank of India conducts SBI exam annually for the recruitment of candidates to various posts.

    The different examinations conducted by SBI are:

    1. SBI PO exam
    2. SBI Clerk exam
    3. SBI SCO exam

    In this article, we will discuss the preparation techniques for SBI Probationary Officer.

    Since many candidates are nowadays inclined towards government sector jobs, a large number of candidates appear for several government exams every year. Therefore, the level of competition is increasing at a high rate.

    Candidates who are willing to appear for the upcoming SBI exam should start with the preparation soon. A clear picture regarding the SBI PO exam pattern and syllabus will help the candidate to score well.

    SBI PO Exam Pattern

    SBI PO exam is conducted in three phases:

    1. SBI PO Prelims
    2. SBI PO Mains
    3. Personal Interview

    The prelims examination is of objective type and consists of three papers:

    1. Reasoning Ability
    2. Quantitative Aptitude
    3. English Language.

    The total exam is of 100 marks and, there is a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong attempt.

    The time for the exam is 60 minutes.

     

    SBI PO Mains exam is conducted in two levels:

    1. Objective Test
    2. Descriptive Test

    SBI PO Group Discussion & Personal Interview

    After clearing the prelims and mains exam, candidates are called for the final round of the SBI PO exam which includes:

    1. Group Discussion: This round carries 20 marks where the candidate needs to discuss topics related to current affairs and general knowledge.
    2. Personal Interview: This is a face-to-face interaction round with the interview panel and carries 30 marks.
