  • Schools, colleges closed today in city.

    HYDERABAD: School managements in the city have declared holiday on Tuesday in view of the bandh call given by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC), political parties and student unions. The schools stated that they might declare a holiday even on February 23, if the law and order situation remains volatile.

    Representatives of the private school managements’ association stated that the holiday decision was taken keeping in view the anxiety of the parents about the safety of their wards. Junior colleges, which are not holding practical examinations, also decided to remain closed on Tuesday.

    Professional college managements too decided to declare holiday in anticipation of tension in the city.

    Meanwhile, Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) officials on Monday declared that the practical examinations will be held as per schedule in all Telangana districts. “However, students who cannot make it to the examination centres on February 22 and 23 owing to the bandh will be allowed to appear for examinations on February 24. They will have to inform college principals in advance,” stated G Balaramaiah, secretary, BIE.

    Meanwhile, Osmania University has yet again postponed practical examinations of its undergraduate courses which were scheduled to be held on February 22 and 23. The revised dates will be announced later.

    On Monday, however, practical examinations of Intermediate students went on as per schedule. Meanwhile, with pre-final examinations of students appearing for SSC-2011 slated to begin on February 25, school managements stated that the academic schedule will not be affected much.

    CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR THE ABOVE EXAMINATIONS COMMENCING FROM            28-02-2011 ARE INFORMED THAT THE EXAMINATIONS WILL BE CONDUCTED AT JNTU KAKINADA, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENINEERING, KAKINADA ONLY. THE APPLICATIONS WILL BE RECEIVED AS PER THE TIME SCHEDULE GIVEN BELOW:

    EXAMINATION FEE
    FOR EACH SUBJECT (THEORY / PRACTICAL) Rs.500/-

    1.       A common application form for all the B.Tech., Examinations available in the website, is to be filled by the candidates giving all the details without fail.            A separate application is to be submitted for each semester.

    2.       Applications should enclose the Photocopies of latest marks memo

    containing failed subjects along with the application without fail.

    3.       The duly filled in applications should be handed over in the concerned college office with necessary fee as per the above schedule of dates.

    4.       The principals are requested to submit the filled in applications to the Controller of Examinations office on or before  11-02-2011 without fail.

    5. The Principals are requested to remit the above fee ‘ON LINE’ in the Registrar’s  SB Account No.30538088925 (IFS CODE:SBIN0001358) on the next day of  the last date as per the above schedule and submit the counter foil along with applications at University Office

    6.       Candidates will have to collect their Hall Tickets during 24th,25th & 26th February,2011 from the office of the Controller of Examinations office, JNT University, Kakinada.

    7.       Lab/ Project Viva examinations are to be conducted at the respective colleges during 21-02-2011 to 26-02-2011 and the Award Lists are to be sent to the controller of Examinations Office JNT University, Kakinada on or before 28-02-2011.


    The Principals of the affiliated Engineering Colleges are requested to follow the instructions given below in respect of II, III & IV Year B.Tech. I & II Semester – Supplementary Examinations, for the Candidates Admitted During 2001 and Prior to 2001 and who have completed their four years of regular course (class work) and having backlog subjects, scheduled in February, 2011.

    1. The Examination fee is to be remitted ‘ON LINE’ in the Registrar’s SB Account No.30538088925 (IFS CODE:SBIN0001358) as per the following dates.

    2. The Principals are requested to submit the filled in applications to the Controller of Exams,

    JNTUK, Kakinada on or before 11-02-2011.

    3. The candidates registered for the examinations be informed to collect the Hall Tickets during

    24th, 25th & 26th February,2011 from the office of the Controller of Examinations, JNTUK, Kakinada. Candidates have to produce Identity cards to collect their Hall tickets.

    4. Laboratory/Project (if any) examinations should be conducted during 21-02-11 to 26-02-11 at respective Colleges only with prior approval of examiners from a panel.

    5. The award lists of laboratory end examinations should be sent so as to reach the examination branch of the University on or before 28-02-2011 positively.

    6. The Principals are requested to inform the students that they have to appear for the examinations

    only at JNTUK, University College of Engineering, Kakinada.
