  • Osmania University revised exam schedule announced.

    HYDERABAD: Osmania University on Monday announced a revised examination schedule for postgraduate (PG) and under-graduate (UG) students. The PG semester and UG examinations were stalled midway in January due to Telangana agitations.

    Examinations for UG students will be conducted from March 25. In all 3.67 lakh students will appear for the examinations which will be held across 264 centres in the city and five districts of Telangana region. PG-II and IV semester examinations will be held from May 9 while I and III semester examinations from May 30.

    D N Reddy, in-charge OU vice-chancellor, convened a meeting of the principals of the affiliated degree and PG colleges of the university on Monday for the smooth conduct of the examinations. The VC also appealed to the students to write the examination and cooperate with the university to save the academic year.

    The detailed examination schedule will be displayed on the university website (www.osmania.ac.in) shortly.

  • JNTUK ties up with SHE Foundation.

    Kakinada: The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) inks pact with SHE (Social, Health and Education) Foundation, Ukraine at a function held at the University.

    As per sources, Prof V Ravindra, Registrar JNTUK and Dr Divya Sunita Raj, Managing Director of SHE Foundation, signed the MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and exchanged the documents.While speaking on the occasion, JNTUK Vice Chancellor, Prof Allam Apparao, said the MOU would enable the JNTK to be shaped into a hub for higher studies for students of other countries, as nearly 50 European countries are associated with the SHE Foundation. He also added that students from 10 countries would be joining the JNTUK for studies from this academic year itself.

    Furthermore, JNTUK Foreign Universities Relations Director, Dr KVSG Muralikrishna, said Dr Divya Sunita Raj was the Indian representative in Ukraine Education Wing and as the MD of SHE Foundation, she had shown lot of interest in signing up MOU with the JNTUK paving the way for furthering the programme of internationalization of education. According to a statement issued by Dr Divya Sunita Raj the MOU would enable the students of over 50 countries to study at JNTUK and provide the JNTUK students a similar opportunity.
