  • Owners of sham IT firms yet to be caught.

The Madhapur police is still on the lookout for the proprietors of three IT companies that duped their employees and went missing this month. Hundreds of employees were duped by the sham IT firms when they downed their shutters, leaving them in the lurch. However, the IT and ITES Association is clueless about the three sham companies as it is not possible to identify a fraud company.

While the case of Task Informatics Pvt. Ltd, a software and web-applications company operating out of Madhapur, which shut shop without paying salaries of its 150 employees, came to light on Sun-day, two other companies too had duped employees in a similar fashion. Proprietors of Prodigy Solutions operating out of Cyber Towers vanished after making lakhs as deposit money from around 1500 employees. The fraud is estimated to be of Rs 16 lakh.

Likewise, Tamcos Tech-nologies that wrapped up operations within four months of starting, handed settlement cheques to employees that later boun-ced. This fraud is estimated to be of Rs 10 lakh. “We are investigating the case but so far we could not trace the proprietors,” said the investigators.
