    ** Mid term examinations are to be conducted during both forenoon and afternoon sessions and they are to be completed within 3 working days as per the schedule given above.

    All the midterm examinations shall be of both objective and subjective type as per the academic regulations. Class work shall be conducted during supplementary examinations period. The attendance of the candidates appearing for supplementary exams shall be counted. Extra classes may be conducted, if required, subject to a maximum of 64 periods for each subject in a semester.

    30%, 25% and 25% of the total intake would be carried out in the order of merit through V-SAT’10, qualified candidates of AIEEE/JEE and EAMCET respectively. The remaining 20% of admissions of the total intake (?B? Category) would be carried out based on the eligibility criteria of a minimum of 60% in the qualifying +2 level examination.

    A student shall be admitted into the B.Tech. Course of study offered by Vignan University , only if s/he has passed 10+2/intermediate examination conducted by various State Governments in India or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto.The student should have completed 16 years of age on or before 31st October of the year of admission into the course.

    A student seeking admission into the Postgraduate course offered by Vignan University should have passed Bachelors Degree of a recognized University and fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the rules in the admission procedure.

    A student seeking admission into the Ph.D. programme offered by Vignan University should have passed a Postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline either from Vignan University or any other recognized University and fulfill the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the rules for the purpose.

    No application shall be registered unless it is accompanied by a demand draft for the prescribed fee.

    At the time of admission, every student shall submit Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Study Certificate from the Institution where s/he last studied.Students are also to submit their Marks Memos together with their Provisional Certificate, as a proof of having passed the qualifying exam. Migration Certificate is to be submitted by all those who obtained their degrees from Education Boards/Universities outside Andhra Pradesh.

    Students shall not be eligible to appear for the semester end examinations unless s/he has cleared all the fee dues to the Institution.

    Reservation Policy
    Vignan University has set a reservation policy in place where by a percentage of seats are reserved in order to mitigate backwardness of the social and educationally backward communities. In accordance 15% of the seats are reserved for the scheduled castes, and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for scheduled tribes and another 27% has been reserved for the other backward classes.

    There is no relaxation of the criteria for passing the exams or graduating a course. The candidates admitted through the reservation policy are also subjected to the same criteria as the general candidates in terms of fee structure and graduation policy.

    If there is any vacancy available in the seats that are allocated to fill via reservation policy, the opportunity will be passed to the general candidates.

    Rules of Academic Administration

    1. Every student who is on regular roll is expected to enroll and register for the subjects s/he is going to study each semester. The registration process is applicable for all UG & PG Programmes as well as the Ph.D Programme.

    2. Registration for a course reflects the intention of a student to study certain subjects / all subjects in a semester basing on the rules of the University from time to time.

    3. Even if all the subjects in a given year / semester are compulsory,registration is still a must.

    4. For choosing a co-curricular activity of his/her choice, a student may select from the options of related courses/activities offered and register for the same.
