    I am by the direction of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, wish to inform you that the following are the revised regulations for B. Pharm programme under JNTUK.

    1.                   Distribution and Weightage of Marks

    i.        The performance of a student in each semester shall be evaluated subject – wise with a maximum of 100 marks for theory and 75 marks for practical subject.

    ii.      For theory subjects the distribution shall be 25 marks for Internal Evaluation and 75 marks for the End – Examinations.

    iii. Out of 25 internal marks – 10 marks are assigned for subjective exam, 10 marks for objective exam and 5 marks for attendance.

    iv. For theory subjects, the marks for attendance is to be given as follows:

    < 75%                                         0

    75% to <80%                            1

    80% to <85%                            2

    85% to <90%                            3

    90% to < 95%                           4

    95% and above                        5

    I request all the Principals of affiliated colleges of Pharmacy to make a note of the above changes and implement them for the 2010-11 admitted students.

    I am by the direction of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, wish to inform you that the following are the guidelines for assigning Hall Ticket numbers to the students under JNTUK.

    GUIDELINES FOR ASSIGNING HALLTICKET NUMBER

    JNTU Kakinada students have unique Hall Ticket number for the entire duration of course. The Hall Ticket is of 10 characters. All the characters should be in capitals.

    1.         First 2 digits indicate year of admission.

    For 2010

    1 0

    2.         Next 2 digits indicate college code assigned by JNTU K .

    For college code 6A

    1 0 6 A

    3.         Next 2 digits signifies course

    1A       B.Tech Regular

    5A       B.Tech Lateral Entry

    1D       M.Tech

    1E        MBA

    1F        MCA

    1R       B.Pharmacy

    1S        M.Pharmacy

    For 2010 admitted B.Tech Regular Students

    1 0 6 A 1 A

    For 2010 admitted B.Tech Lateral Entry Students

    1 0 6 A 5 A

    4.         Next 2 digits signifies branch code

    01        Civil Engineering

    02        Electrical & Electronics Engineering

    03        Mechanical Engineering

    04        Electronics & Communications Engineering
