Fee reimbursement plan gets linked to attendance
Hyderabad : The state government on Wednesday declared some stringent norms for students wanting to avail the fee reimbursement scheme and post-matric scholarship scheme from this academic year.
It has stipulated a minimum attendance of 75 per cent and made it mandatory for students to get promoted to the higher class by securing pass marks to avail the schemes.
Students who take admissions through counselling in convenor quota will only be eligible for the schemes and there will be no fee reimbursement and scholarships for students who take admissions in the convenor quota through ?spot admissions? for leftover seats after counselling.
All students from BC, SC, ST, EBC, minorities and physically-challenged categories with an annual family income limit of `1 lakh are eligible for the scheme and they will be made available to all eligible students on a ?saturation-basis?.
With respect to self-financed courses for which the fees are fixed by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee, the restriction of `20,000 per annum has been removed and the full fee will be reimbursed from this academic year 2009-10.
All colleges have to display the course-wise fees reimbursed by the government on the college notice board or the college website. These fee particulars must be made available at the time of admissions so the students are aware of the fee structure. The entire system has been made online. The students need to submit online applications and the scholarship amount would be directly credited into the accounts of students.
