INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES :
1. At the end of the first day you are supposed to submit the design concept, and the
Preliminary submission. You can retain a copy of the Preliminary submission for your final
submission.
2. No major deviation from the preliminary design is allowed in the final design.
3. The appropriate area requirements have to be deduced by the students themselves if not
mentioned.
4. The students are free to add a suitable requirement with justification.
5. Choose a suitable scale for your drawings.
6. Assume any missing data and mention the same.
7. Credit will be given for good drafting and rendering.
8. Site Plan attached.
TOURIST CUM CONFERENCE CENTRE AT GOA
The Goa Tourism department is planning to develop a tourist cum conference centre at Baga
beach, Goa. The site overlooks the Baga beach and is a prime property. The Design
requirements are:
1. Reception cum lounge with toilets, Managers office, and Tourist information centre
with souvenir shop.
2. 20 nos. double bed rooms with attached toilet and dress.
3. 10 nos. dormitories (4 bedded each) with dressing and toilets.
4. 20 cottages with double bedroom, sitting room, dress cum toilet, pantry and sit out -
40 sq m each.
5. Restaurant for 100 persons, with kitchen, pantry and store.
6. Conference room for 100 persons.
7. Swimming pool with changing rooms, toilets for males and females and treatment
plant etc.
8. Parking for 50 cars and 5 buses.

ii. Preliminary Site Plan and Floor plans.(Drawn to scale)
End of Second day
i. Final Site Plan.
ii. Final floor plans of the tourist cum conference centre, with one elevation and one
section.
iii. Plan/s, one elevations and one Section each of cottage.

page of Answer Sheet will lead to UMC against the Student.
