2. Estimate the material and cost of foundation with 40mm gauge brick ballast unit 1 cum
for 10 cum.
3. Prepare a detailed estimate of the Madras Terrace Roof of a room of 3 ? 4.5m in size.
The beams are of sal wood 8?16 cm size spaced 45 cm centre to centre. The ceiling shall
be finished with 12mm cement plaster of 1:3 proportions. Concealed faces of wooden
beams shall be painted with two coats of coal tar and the exposed faces shall be painted
with two coats of painting over one coat of priming?
4. Give detailed specifications for Earthwork in excavation in foundation.
5. What is a contract document? What does it contain? Explain.
6. What are the various particulars given in the tender notice? Explain in detail.

7. What are the various categories into which transactions of Public Works offices are
grouped? Explain in detail.
8. What are the various rules and methods of measurement followed for preparation of the
