UNIT-I
1. For the proper running of building industry legislation is important. Justify this statement
highlighting the need and importance of legislation.
2. Explain any two of the following :
a) Property regulation act.
b) Regional and Town Planning Act
c) Heritage Conservation Act
3. What are building byelaws? And what would happen if there were no building byelaws?
Explain with examples.
4. Explain the relevance and importance of Architectural controls. Also state their need
typology and applicability.
5. Briefly explain ?The Capital of Punjab (Development and Regulation) Act, 1952?
highlighting the key features.
UNIT-II
6. Describe various Fire safety Standards mentioned in National Building Code.
7. Define the role of Local bodies in sanctioning building plans. Describe the process of
submission and Approval in detail.
8. Define legislations that provides ?Equal protection and safety? for persons with
disabilities.
