- A 50-year-old man presented with a history of rapidly growing painful swelling on the face below the ear lobule on the left side. On examination the left ear lobule was found to be lifted by the swelling. There was an inability to close the left eye and to blow the cheek. The angle of mouth was deviated to the right side.
