1. Answer briefly :
a) Draw the structures of sennoside A and guggulsterone E.
b) Name two controversial sources of shankhpushpi.
c) Name the steps involved in preparation of Bhasmas.
d) Give biological source and one major use of Palash and Adusa.
e) Draw structure of psoralen and strophanthidin.
f) Give main chemical constituents (along with structures) of saffron.
g) Why Modified Borntrager's test is performed? How it is different from Borntrager's
test?
h) Write two tests used to detect the presence of unsaturated lactone ring in a cardiac
glycoside.
i) Give biological source and important chemical constituent (with structure) of
