1. a) Classify drugs used in treatments of hyperlipidnemia. What is the mechanism of action of statins

and what effects do they have on the lipid profile? What are their important adverse effects ? 4+4+2

b) How will you treat a case of acute pulmonary oedema? Mention two side effects of each drug used.

a) ACE inhibitors are preferred in the treatment of hypertension with diabetes mellitus.
