Online fresh registrations for scholarships to students pursuing college course for the academic year 2010-11 will commence from 21-11-2010 to 10-12-2010. The scholarship process has been made fully online by the Social Welfare Department.
Under the online system, no student can enter his name, Student records will be fetched from SSC/Inter servers based on the applications/ SSC ID. For the academic year 2010-11, students can apply online for fresh scholarships on the e-pass website form 21-11-2010 to 10-12-2010. All students belonging to SC / ST / BC / EBC and DW with family income of less than Rs. 1 lakh are eligible to apply for scholarships.

The following is the procedure for online registration for fresh students:
1. Students will be eligible for a scholarship as per the instructions given in the reference cited.
2. The application for scholarship is valid only for the current year 2010-11 only.
3. Students how have not registered for the scholarship will not be eligible to make a claim later.
4. The application for scholarship does not automatically entitle a student for scholarship. Sanction of a scholarship is subject to successful verification of the students.
5. Student must visit the e-pass website at http://epass.cgg.gov.in.
6. Students who have received a scholarship for 2009-10, need to enter the application ID, others who have not received a scholarship will have to enter the SSC ID & year of passing.
7. Students who have applied for professional colleges and courses for which there is an entrance examination will also furnish the Common Entrance Test Hall ticket number (CET) to satisfy the conditions stipulated in the reference cited above.
8. Every student shall furnish an email account. In case the student does not have an email account, they can always obtain one for free from hotmail; gmail; rediffmail, or yahoomail. Automated responses from the e-pass server will be sent to students email account.
9. Each student shall have a bank account to which the scholarship amount will be remitted. In case a student does not have a bank account, the department concerned will arrange for a bank account through the eZ-pass system from the State Bank of India.
10. To apply online student will have to upload the following documents: – (a) Recent photograph (b) Income Certificate in the new format (c) Caste Certificate.
