Virtusa denies hiring 6k
Virtusa (India) Private Ltd in a clarification said that it is not going to employ 6,000 people at their new facility this financial year.
Responding to a news item carried in these columns, Virtusa manager, marketing and corporate communications Mr Shrinivas K. Rao clarified that his organisation has made no such claims with regards to hiring and employment.
The clarification further said, “We would like to clarify that this statement has been wrongly attributed to Virtusa and that the organisation has made no such claims with regard to hiring and employment.
Virtusa maintains that its new facility in Nanakramguda, Gachibowli will have the capacity to house 6,000 employees when completed.”
Our Correspondent replies: The information was given by the principal secretary of information technology, Ms Ratna Prabha.
When contacted Ms Ratna Prabha confirmed that the government had received a letter from Virtusa stating it would employ 6,000 employees at their new facility in Nanakramguda, Gachibowli.
“Virtusa requested CM’s appointment for their September 29th function and told me they would employ 6,000 people in the new facility which is ready for inauguaration,” said Mrs Ratna Prabha.
